Abstract

Background: Lumbar Spinal Stenosis (LSS) is a common and debilitating condition, particularly in older
adults, characterized by the narrowing of the spinal canal, which leads to the compression of nerve roots and
other neural structures. This results in symptoms such as lower back pain, radiating leg pain, numbness,
weakness, and functional impairment. Conservative treatments, including physiotherapy, are the mainstay of
management. However, combining targeted exercise protocols, such as the Lumbar Canal Enlargement
Exercise Protocol, with conventional physiotherapy may offer more effective symptom relief and functional
improvements
